المعنى الاصطلاحي

One's weakness and submission to someone else unwillingly.

الشرح المختصر

"Dhull" (humiliation) is a human characteristic resulting from an external factor in which a person is subjugated by someone else and thus submits and obeys him. "Dhull" is of two types: 1. Reprehensible "dhull": in which a man humiliates oneself to other than Allah showing disgrace, weakness, and humiliation. 2. Praiseworthy "dhull": in which man humbles oneself to Allah, may He be Glorified and Exalted. This, in fact, represents the highest level of dignity, honor, and success in this life and the Hereafter.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر

"Dhull": weakness, disgrace. Opposite: "‘izz" (honor), "quwwah" (strength). Original meaning: softness and easiness. Other meanings: submission, humility.

التعريف

To feel weak, lowly and worthless after being humbled and overpowered. It is the opposite of Ꜥzza.
