الشرح المختصر
"Haqeeqah" (Literal meaning) is using words in their original meaning, e.g. using the word "lion" to refer to a well-known animal; "sun" to refer to a well-known great planet; and "sea" to refer to a large body of salt water, etc.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
"Haqeeqah" (pl. haqā"iq): everything that is "haqq". "Haqq": that which is affirmed, established, and true. The opposite of "haqq": "bātil" (false). Derived from "tahqeeq" which means: verifying, doing something with precision. Other meanings: truth, origin, certitude, veracity.
