المعنى الاصطلاحي

A sect that belongs to the Twelver Imami Rafidis.

الشرح المختصر

"Al-Qat‘iyyah" is a sect that belongs to the Twelver Imami Rafidis who speak of the Imamate of twelve Imams. They were called "Al-Qat‘iyyah" because they decisively held that Mūsa al-Kazhim was an Imam. They had no doubts about his death. This sect had broken into many groups who do not believe in twelve Imams. This means that "Al-Qat‘iyyah" comprises members who no longer belong to the Twelver Imamis.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر
