"Mutlaq" (absolute) is a specific term that originally indicates the reality of something without giving a description, stipulating a condition, etc. The "mutlaq" and the "muqayyad" (restricted) either diverge on the cause and ruling, converge thereon, or diverge on the cause apart from the ruling.
