الشرح المختصر
"`Unf" (violence) is a dispraised trait that goes against kind interaction among people. It is a personal trait that combines severity and roughness in dealing with others along with verbal or physical abuse. The methodology of Islam is based upon gentleness and leniency, not upon violence, harshness, and roughness.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
"`Unf": violence, force. Opposite: "rifq (gentleness), "yusr" (ease). "`Aneef": a person who lacks gentleness. Derived from "i`tinaaf", which means dislike and hardship.
