المعنى الاصطلاحي
Brining something into being; originating it on no previous model.
الشرح المختصر
“Ibdaa‘” means originating something from nonexistence. “Mubdi‘ ” is the one who originates what no one else had originated. “Ibdaa‘” is of two kinds: 1. “Ibdaa‘” of the Creator: it is an exclusive attribute of Allah's Lordship. His creation has the ultimate beauty, order, wonder, and precision. 2. “Ibdaa‘” of the creature: it befits his limited ability and weakness, quite unlike that of the Creator.
