التعريف
The people of Madinah who gave the prophet (peace be upon him) a pledge at ꜤAqabah (a place at mina close to the ꜤAqabah Jamrah), promising him support and to protect him as they would protect their women, children and themselves. Twelve men gave the first ꜤAqabah pledge, but those who pledged themselves the second time were seventy-three men and two women.
