المعنى الاصطلاحي
A state of constant pain and perpetual sickness.
الشرح المختصر
"Wasab" is a constant pain. In this sense, Allah the Almighty said: {And for them is a “waasib” torment}, i.e. a constant and everlasting torment. The believer's level of faith decreases because of committing sins and misdeeds; however, chronic sickness and pains serve as a sort of adversities that expiate sins.
