المعنى الاصطلاحي
Buying or selling based on the honesty of the buyer or seller.
الشرح المختصر
"Bay`-ul-istinaamah" (trust-based sale) is exactly the same as "bay`-ul-istirsaal". The buyer trusts the seller and takes his word for granted. Now, one party forfeits a fraction of the price, because he is unfamiliar with the value of the commodity, whereas the other party knows its value. The uninformed would thus ask the informed to buy from him or sell him the commodity as he often does with others.
