The state of elation a person experiences when drinking alcohol.
الشرح المختصر
Scholars of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) differentiate between an intoxicant and a narcotic by explaining that an intoxicant produces a state of elation while a narcotic does not produce such a state.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
